The General Overseer of the Revelation Church International, Rev. Dr Prophet David Kyeremeh has appealed to leaders in the Brong Ahafo Region to help the talents that the region have.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Suncity Radio’s Kofi Oppong Kyekyeku, the ‘Waboa Me’ composer said most of the talents in the region are struggling to make their dreams come into reality.
“There are so many artists in the region, but they are not getting the help. What is more noticeable here is pull him down, wickedness and jealousy? That’s the reason why many people migrate from here and pursue their dream somewhere else,” he noted.
“The leaders have a role to help these talents. The pastors of various churches should also help the artists and singers in their church. They need a mind of God to do that. Many of them do not help their singers who have served them for so long. There are some instances of which some of these pastors refuse to attend their music launching.
I appeal to the leaders in the society to help the up and coming talents,” he stated passionately.
Prophet David Kyeremeh observed everything being centred in Accra and Kumasi is a challenge.
“Our problem in Ghana is that everything is centred in Accra an Kumasi so it makes those there shoot to the limelight within a short time, even if they are from the Brong Ahafo Region. If the award is only centred in Accra and Kumasi, it makes it difficult for one to come out unless you move from here if you want to make it...but it shouldn’t happen that way. Elsewhere, anybody who is doing a good job will be recognized,” he enunciated.
When asked if the initiation of a regional-based award scheme will be helpful, he uttered: “Yes, it will be helpful, It is time for us to value ourselves and set our priorities right. We have to organize our own awards. The more you organize, the more it will grow and become bigger so let’s start something. Every award is an award.” He counselled all talents in the region to seek God first and believe in the talent that they have.
