The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mark Noonan on Friday visited the Ghana Football Association (GFA) secretariat, Accra, to meet personnel there and also have first-hand experience of operations at the FA.

The GFA’s Twitter handle posted that: “@HeartsOfOakGH new Managing Director Mark Noonan is visiting the @ghanafaofficial headquarters to acquaint himself with the operations of the federation and meet officials for the first time since taking the job with the Ghanaian giants…”

Noonan, who was out doored this week, with new players signed by the club, appears to be pressing the right notes at the club. Some media commentators have commended him for his latest move but others see his visit as “normal” especially for him as a foreigner.

Mark Noonan has the arduous task of reshaping the managerial structure of Hearts of Oak. The club statement announcing his appointment recently said:

“With his vast experience in modern day sports administration, Mark has been handed a three-year mandate to work in close collaboration with all stakeholders of the club to transform the team and make it one of the most cherished organisations and one of the best football clubs on the African continent and in the world at large”.
