German side Hannover 96 has joined the race for the signature of Ghanaian forward David Accam, according to media reports.

The Chicago Fire goal scoring machine is reported keen on a move away from the club in the ongoing summer transfer window after failing to start in the side's last six games.

Reports went rife last that French side Guingamp are interested in the 26-year-old but the MLS club are bent on holding onto their prized asset.

However, fresh reports in the MLS this morning indicate that newly promoted German Bundesliga outfit Hannover 96 have inquired about the services of the hitman.

Accam’s suitors have to meet a reported $3million price price slapped on him by Chicago Fire.
