Hair Associations Form Federation

The Ghana Federation of Professional Hairdressers, Cosmetologists and Barbers would organise a Hair Week in Accra this month to exhibit new hair products and sensitise members and the public about hair diseases, the President of the Ghana Hairdressers and Beauticians Association (GHABA), Joyce Appiah has said.

Speaking to the press on Wednesday she said there would also be another Hair Week in October in Kumasi.

She announced that the World President of Hairdressers, Mr. Paul Mangaard of Denmark would visit the country in June. Another exhibition to help boost the sales of hair products and tools would be organised in November.

She said the federation is negotiating with the Ministry of Trade to institute a credit scheme for its members to be able to acquire hair products and gadgets such as hair dryers.
