Group to stage naked demo over corruption, utility tariffs

Pressure group, Citizens Awake Forum, is threatening a series of naked demonstrations in the coming weeks over corruption allegations in the country.

The group, which purports to represent the Ghanaian citizenry, said its members are not convinced that President John Mahama is committed to the fight against corruption within his administration.

Leaders of the group say recent issues of corruption involving the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA), the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) as well as the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and IT firm SUBAH info solutions call for concern.

Speaking to XYZ News, Executive Director of CAF, Ernest Kojo Smith, said government is about to see the worse of demonstrations when their members hit the streets naked.

“...We have heard of these entire corrupt acts, there is a leadership, yet the calls of the people on the leadership to solve this canker seem to fall on deaf ears. We will hit the streets naked to register our displeasure”.
