Group commends Akufo-Addo over West Blue contract decision

President Akufo-Addo President Akufo-Addo

Pro-NPP group Patriotic Youth in Ports has welcomed the government's decision not to renew the contract of West Blue Limited.

According to the group, the decision serves the interest of the party's members at the ports who were made redundant by the company.

Below is the statement

Patriotic Youth In Ports (PYP) congratulates the government of His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo for not renewing the expired contract of West Blue Limited.

The company is manned by Mrs. Valentina Mintah, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and was birthed by the leadership of the opposition party.

This is a company that made some five financiers of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) to lose their jobs at the ports during the NDC's administration.

Many PYP members in their hundreds were made redundant at the ports.

It was painful but we continued to work for the party’s interest and by the grace of God victory came to us and we are in government since 2017.

We cannot go to the same company for reemployment.

Now a better company called Ghana Link has brought a better system called UNIPASS at a time the contract of West Blue has ended and we are happy His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo did not renew the contract.

UNIPASS has promised to employ over 5000 members of PYP and we are fully in support of it.

500 of our members are already working for UNIPASS across the country and the remaining would start work soon.

We, the PYP members in the Ashanti Region, would start demonstrations and riots if we hear that the woman has been engaged again.

UNIPASS has an end to end system that is the best in the world.

Long live PYP

Long live NPP

Long live Ghana
