Greetings from London

London (UK), One of the most highly rated TV programmes in Ghana - Greetings from Abroad - is currently filming in London. A joint production between Premier Productions of Ghana and Ghana Review International of UK, the forthcoming edition of Greetings from Abroad is the first ever to be filmed in the UK.

The programme, which allows Ghanaians abroad to send messages to their relations, friends and loved ones back home in Ghana, is one of the most popular programmes on the nationwide GTV and the cable Crystal TV in Kumasi.

Greetings from Abroad will soon be making its debut on Ghana's first private TV station, Metro TV, which is transmitted in Accra and its environs.

The producers visit the width and breadth of the world, indeed wherever Ghanaians are located, and could be reached.

In the UK, the crew has filmed the landmark visit of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, to London. Events featured include, a durbar of Ghanaians held at the Commonwealth Institute in London, and various fund-raising dinners at the plush Whitehall banqueting suite, the Savoy and Inter- continental hotels.

Also to be featured are interviews with a cross-section of Ghanaians including those who have excelled in their various fields of operation, the Ghanaian lady who has been in Britain since the first World War as well as the over 60 Ghanaian groceries and 18 drinking and eating places.

The programme will be shown in Ghana in July and August.
