The General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, Professor Paul Frimpong Manso has lashed out at greedy pastors in the country blaming them for being part of reasons the country is lagging behind in terms of development.

“If we want to change, there should be generational thinkers. Ghana has become a collapsed nation because of greedy people who are so much interested in themselves even including pastors."

"They proclaim false prophecy, lie to people, cheat and use all means to get people’s money to feed their stomachs and survive. All these are contributing factors to our underdevelopment and suffering”. Professor Paul Frimpong Manso said in an interview with Kumasi based Oyerepa FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Professor Paul Frimpong Manso’s statement came after Archbishop Duncan Williams, the General Overseer of Action Chapel International Ministry proclaimed on Sunday at his church that Ghana is in crisis hence Ghanaians must fast to liberate the country.

“We as a nation are facing a crisis, with lots of difficulties and hardships and in these times we must proclaim a fast”. Archbishop Duncan Williams said.

But speaking to Nana Jantuah the host of Oyerepa breakfast show, Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso chided that the state of the country now cannot be described as a crisis yet.

“We haven’t gotten there”. He disclosed

On the other hand, he backed Archbishop Duncan Williams’s 72-hour fast proclamation saying had it not been prayers and interventions by some religious people, the state of Ghana would have been worse than currently witnessed.
