Grace Coleman In USA

Mrs. Grace Coleman, former Deputy Minister for Finance is currently in the US to fight for her reputation and freedom. US federal prosecutors are hoping to try the member of Parliament (MP) on charges of arranging to bring, her cousin from a poor village, to the United States under false pretenses. She is also charged with forced labor.

Federal officials filed papers seeking the MP's extradition. It's not clear if she left voluntarily or was forced to go by the government.

Grace Coleman's daughter & husband were convicted by a federal jury in US of bringing a Ghanaian woman into the United States illegally and forcing her to work as a domestic servant and nanny seven days a week without pay. Sentencing for Coleman-Blackwell and Blackwell for Aug. 21. The charges of which Coleman-Blackwell was convicted carry maximum penalties of 20 years in prison; Blackwell's, 10 years.
