Govt Spokesman wants to be MP

The NPP MP for Asokwa East in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Baffoe Bonnie, may have his days numbered as a parliamentarian. He has allegedly been targeted to be axed from his seat and to be replaced by Government Spokesman, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong.

Dr. Bonnie, also a lecturer at the KNUST, is accused by his constituents of being ?ineffective?.

Mr. Kwabena Agyapong who hails form Asokore Mampong, has therefore been named as a possible successor to the incumbent MP.

According to THE HERITAGE several members of the party hierarchy in the constituency have been contacted to rally behind Kwabena Agyapong?s candidature while others who have expressed interest in the post are being lobbied to drop their bid.
