Member of Parliament [MP] for Bodi Constituency in the Western Region, Sampson Ahi has blamed the first gentleman of the land and members of his government as the master minders behind the politicization of security issues in the country.

According to him, the Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah was not the right person per the laws of the country to brief the state on security situations when the Canadian girls were rescued.

“It is a wrong instance that security experts will not be given the chance to announce on issues in their custody, but a government appointee was given the honour to hold a press conference on an issue it’s office has not got much information on, the reason behind some lapses that resulted between the statement from the securities in charge of the case and the Information Minister,” Sampson Ahi lamented.

Speaking on Adom FM’s ‘Mpensenpensenmu’ political discussion show, Sampson Ahi stressed that appointees of the Akufo-Addo government should see to it that they concentrate on issues in their quarters as they leave purely professional security experts to handle issues in their category to curb the security problems facing the country.

“Citizens of this nation should blame the current government for the security breakdown . . . Leave our security experts to do their work as you [government appointees] also concentrate on yours,” he advised.
