The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced that professional law students are now eligible to apply for full fee coverage loans under the Students Loan Plus initiative.
According to the SLTF, the decision follows President John Dramani Mahama’s directive to extend the student loan scheme to include students of the Ghana School of Law.
In a statement dated Wednesday, October 29, 2025, the Fund said the inclusion of professional law students reflects the government’s commitment to broadening access to higher and professional education through innovative financing mechanisms.
“The inclusion of professional law students in the student loan scheme is in tune with the government’s commitment to promoting access to higher education and professional development through innovative student financing solutions,” the statement noted.
It explained that eligible students can apply by visiting the “No Fees Stress Portal” at [www.sltf.gov.gh](http://www.sltf.gov.gh), selecting the “Students Loan Plus” option, and completing the application process.
