Goosie used my wife for loan - J.J.

The Independent says President Jerry Rawlings shocked the core member of the Association for the Defence of the Revolution (ACDRs) when he told them that Goosie Tanoh, a leading member of the Reform Movement, used the name of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings to acquire a 1.90 billion cedis for his cassava chip business.

According to the President, he asked the wife whether she had any dealings with Goosie, but she replied in the negative saying she does not owe anybody. The Independent reports President Rawlings as saying that he had discovered that Goosie's company was owing the Ghana Cocoa Board and some institutions and queried the wife since the 31st December Women's Movement of which she is the president, also deals in cassava chips and could have had contacts with Goosie's company.

The paper says Nana Konadu confirmed having a talk with Goosie about the supply of chips, but said that was the end of the matter.
