Give Kufuor's administration time - Prophetess

Kwadaso (Ashanti Region) -- Ghanaians have been advised to exercise patient and give the administration of President John Agyekum Kufuor time to put the economy on a sound footing.

Prophetess Theresa Agyei of the Christ Church of Israel at Kwadaso gave the advice after a two-hour non-stop prayer to mark the first anniversary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

She said a year ago Ghanaians prayed for positive change in the country and "if God has heard our prayers Ghanaians should not force President Kufuor to rush in his development plans". She noted that the nation needed people of integrity, honesty and hard work to move it forward.

Prophetess Agyei appealed to the people to encourage girls' education and advised married couples to keep to their partners to avoid contracting AIDS.
