The Greater Accra regional minister, Nii Laryea Afotey Agbo, has observed that a good number of developmental projects executed in the region by the government are enough for the electorates to vote massively to retain the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in power.
“Ghanaians are not stupid; they will vote for the NDC. We have done enough to win the mandate of the people, especially, in Greater Accra,” he said.
According to him, under his leadership he has initiated a number of projects in the area of water, roads, clinics, and schools among others.
With these, he is optimistic that electorates in the Greater Accra region would never fail the NDC in election 2016.
“We are giving them the facilities that they need. I have done a lot of projects in almost all the constituencies in Greater Accra,” he told Kasapa 102.3 FM.
When asked by the host Fiifi Banson if the prevailing economic hardship conditions in the country will not influence the electorates to vote against the NDC, he retorted “who doesn’t want a good thing? If you have a father who always spoon-feeds you and never build for you, then he is actually doing you a great disservice. But when you have a father who always thinks of putting up a building or a property for you, then he is actually helping you. We are putting up a good foundation for our future leaders.”
He added “that is why we are changing two-lane roads into dual carriage; that is why we are upgrading educational facilities in almost every corner of this region; and that is why we are sacrificing and making sure that almost every corner of the country benefits from infrastructural projects”.
