Ghanaians are of high expectations because of Nana Addo's promises - Cleric

The Secretary of Umar and Imams in the Ashanti Region, Alhaji Saed has charged President Nana Akufo-Addo to discharge his duties diligently.

According to him, Ghanaians are of high expectations following the campaign promises by the president, who defeated an incumbent leader at the third attempt.

Ghanaians he said, will be glad and support the president if he is able deliver on his campaign promises. Alhaji Saed said the hope in Nana Addo is stern from his resolution to discharge his presidential duties.

He said, Ghanaians are expecting Nana Addo to discharge his duties diligently. He further commended the president for his resolve to strengthen the bilateral relationship with sister countries and appealed to him to continue with his good works. The president he noted will gain support from Ghanaians if he’s able to fulfill his campaign promises especially the social intervention ones including the Free Senior High School.

He appreciated the role Nana Addo played in the previous elections which he contested before assuming the role as president after the December 7, polls.

‘’We are grateful to Allah for choosing Nana Akufo-Addo as the president of the republic of Ghana…We appreciate the manner in which his Excellency patiently waited with hope for three consecutive elections and later emerged as a winner…We are hopeful that he will be able to discharge his presidential obligations diligently. Our hope in him, is stern from his resolution to live up to his electoral promises.’’ He added: ‘’in his recent tour to neighbouring countries is yet another indication that he is poised to build cordial relationship among sister countries…We also applaud his effort to clamp down on galamsey and the position taken by his administration in relation to the gruesome murder of the late Major Mahama.’’
