Ghanaian players involved in Summer transfer market; who moved where?

The European transfer market ended on Monday, September 2 with several high profile names including Eden Hazard and Antoine Griezmann making the headlines.

SPAIN

Celta Vigo coughed €5M to sign Black Stars defender Joseph Aidoo who helped Genk to win the Belgian league title last season.

Black Meteors captain Yaw Yeboah also joined the Sky Blues on loan with an option to buy from CD Numancia.

Raphael Dwamena secured a season-long loan move to Zaragoza from UD Levante.

Spanish Segunda B side Deportivo Linares captured experience goalkeeper Razak Brimah on a free transfer.

While striker Kwabena Owusu joined Córdoba CF on loan from CD Leganés.

ENGLAND

Crystal Palace splashed out a fee thought to be around £2.5m to secure the services of Jordan Ayew on a permanent transfer from Swansea following his loan stint with the club last season.

Southampton signed Kevin Danso from FC Augsburg on a season-long loan, with an option to buy.

Albert Adomah joined Championship side Nottingham Forest on a two-year-deal after the winger was released by Aston Villa following their promotion to the Premier League.

Ghana skipper Andre Ayew returned to his parent club Swansea City following his loan spell at Fenerbahçe last season.

GERMANY

Ghanaian quartet Kassim Nuhu, Kelvin Ofori, Bernard Tekpetey and Nana Ampomah joined Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Nuhu transferred on a season long loan from rivals TSG Hoffenheim

Kevin Ofori penned a three year deal from Right to Dream Academy.

Bernard Tekpetey joined Düsseldorf on a two-year loan deal from Schalke 04. The Flingeraner, however, can exercise their option to buy him outright for €2.5m at the end of his loan stint.

Nana Ampomah also switched camp from Belgian outfit Waasland-Beveren on a three-year deal.

ITALY

A window that didn’t feature Kevin Prince Boateng would have been considered a dull one. After his high profile loan transfer to Barcelona in January, The ultimate journey man was on the move again. This time joining Fiorentina from Sassuolo on a permanent deal. He signed a two-year for a reported €1m fee.

Udinese Midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu moved to Italian serie B side Hellas Verona on loan with an option to buy.

FRANCE

WAFA prodigy Jamal Haruna completed a four-year move to French giant Girondis de Bordeaux.

TURKEY

Newly-promoted Gaziantep FK Patrick captured Ghanaian trio Patrick Twumasi, Aziz Tetteh and Rahman Chibsah.

Twumasi joined the Super Lig side on a season-long loan deal from Spanish side Deportivo Alaves.

Tetteh switched from Russian giants Dynamo Moscow on a three year deal.

While Chibsah penned a two-year deal contract with the Reds from Italian Club Frosinone.

Elsewhere, Ghana midfielder Isaac Sackey completed a season long loan move to Denizlispor.

BELGIUM

Ghana U23 defender Gideon Mensah left Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg for Zulte Waregem on a season-long loan.

Winger Thomas Agyepong made a loan move from English champions Manchester City to Waasland-Beveren. Beveren have however retained an option sign him permanently after his stint.

Striker Ahmed Said joined KSC Lokeren on a three-year contract from Portuguese outfit Rio Ave.

Defender Isaac Donkor completed a transfer deadline day switch from Romanian side Universitatea Craiova to Sturm Graz.

CZECH

Czech top-flight side FK Jablonec signed youngster Torfiq Ali Abubakar on a three-year deal following a successful trial.

CROATIA

Seth Amoateng completed a loan move to Croatian second tier side NK Rudes from second tier side Accra Lions.

SLOVAKIA
