Ghanaian Herbalist Announces Cure For AIDS

..Says he has cured 200,000 Aids Patients over 20years

A Ghanaian herbalist, Dr Oheneba Akwasi Amoakoh, says he has found a cure for the world?s dreaded incurable disease, HIV/AIDS. According to him, this was after he had treated almost 200,000 HIV\AIDS patients in the last two decades.

The AIDS patients who have had their laboratory tests at the Korle-Bu Public Health and Reference Laboratory, are said to have proved negative a month after they had been treated at Dr. Amoakoh?s center. Speaking to THE SUN in an interview at Nungua last week, he said he had started treating HIV without knowing that the disease was HIV/AIDS, as far back as the 1970s.

He said when he first encountered the disease, he used to call it sliming disease, until the doctors detected and called it AIDS.

He said some patients were referred from the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to his center, and he treated them all within a few months.

Since then, AIDS patients have been frequenting the place but whoever goes there to seek treatment without a prior laboratory test is not treated until a test proved that he or she was an HIV/AIDS patient.

Dr. Amoakoh said even though the cost of producing the medicine is expensive, most of the patients are treated free since they cannot not afford the cost. THE SUN, leaving nothing to hearsay or conjecture, saw evidence that lots of patients who were HIV positive from Korle-Bu had been treated and been declared negative from the same laboratory.

?I can tell for sure without any fear of doubt that I have the medicine that can cure AIDS totally and I am throwing a challenge to the government, the AIDS Commission as well as research institutions to quickly step in to help me reach out to all Ghanaians infected with the HIV virus,? he asserted.

?My claim is known to the Public Health and Reference Laboratory at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and the Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine at Akwapim and to the over thousands of patients who have received cure from me. I want to assure all Ghanaians through this your esteemed newspaper to never lose hope because I have the cure for the HIV virus and hundreds of thousands of patients who had been treated and cured and those who are still with me in my clinic receiving their treatment can all attest to my claim,? Dr. Oheneba Amoakoh told the Sun.

He said he had recently approached the World Health Organisation (WHO) through the United Nation about his claim and the potency of his medicine. As he related, the WHO received his claim with urgency and consequently wrote to him, asking him to submit his medicine to any research institution to test for its efficacy and potency. However, he said when he contacted the Noguchi Memorial Institute for a test, he was asked to pay about ?250million before.

As to how this medicine could reach out to all the hospitals in the country, Dr. Amoakoh said he had been frustrated by the very institutions that were charged to handle AIDS issues in the country and at the appropriate time, he would make pronouncements on how he had been treated unfairly.

He said some years ago, he was attached to the public health department at Korle-Bu but for some reason, he later withdrew from them.

?The herbal products are safe to use and in March 1987, when I was attached to the Ghana AIDS control at the Korle-bu Teaching hospital, working together with a team of other healthcare professionals, I was using the herbal products. ?I have tried all I could to reach out to PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in every part of the country but some section of people, both in the present and in the past governments have not helped me in that drive. Even now, some people at the Ghana AIDS Commission do not want me to come out and inform the public about my claim that I can cure the disease.

They claimed that if publicized, it would encourage some people to be more promiscuous and this would affect the government?s drive at preventing and reducing HIV/AIDS.?

According to Dr. Amoakoh, he was not surprised about the shabby treatment meted out to Prof. Ayisi when he announced the goat serum. He asserted nevertheless that he would not be deterred because God revealed the medicine to him in a dream, so his was a divine mission from which he would never recoil.
