Ghana without High Commissioner to UK?

....New COCOBOD Chief Executive assumes duty

Accra, April 13 GNA - Mr Isaac Osei, the new Chief Executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) on Thursday expressed his readiness to work closely with the Board, Management and Staff of the Company to further enhance its image.

Mr Osei made the comments at a meeting with the Board and Management after assuming duty officially.

He expressed his gratitude to the Board and Management of the COCOBOD for the warm reception and the opportunity offered him to serve Ghana in another sector. Until his appointment Mr Osei was Ghana's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ambassador to Ireland. He promised to operate an open-door-policy where staff concerns would be taken care of and asked for cooperation. Mr Kwame Sarpong, the Outgoing Chief Executive, said he was grateful to the Board, Management and Staff for their support during his tenure.
Earlier, Mr Osei was officially introduced to the Board, Management and Staff by Professor George K Gyan-Baffuor, a Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning. He later met with members of the Senior Staff Association and the Local Union.
A staff durbar was also held to introduce him to the staff and he later interacted with some of them in their offices.
