The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agaypong has threatened to unmask Anas Aremeyaw Anas in court. The legislator says if Anas is not allowed to remove his hood in court, he will also not appear before the court. According to him, Ghana will turn upside down if Anas fails to take off his hood in court.

He was reacting to the GHc25 million defamation suit filed against him in the Accra High Court by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. The maverick politician told Accra based Asempa FM that, the money is peanut and he will not struggle to pay.

Kennedy Agyapong who was speaking to the station from China insisted that, he is having the evidence to buttress his allegations of Anas being a blackmailer. ‘’I am not afraid of Anas. I will display cash. I will display cash. GHc25 million, I sit on that sh*t. That is a peanut. I am not afraid of Anas.

I will face him in court with my evidence. You will see the number of people who will bring their evidence against him. Is he [Anas] God? What is his case? Is he not the one denying that he is not the one I published? Anas said he was not the one.

Kweku Baako said he was not the one. So who is the ghost that took me to court? You have denied categorically that you are not the person.

So who is this Anas? ‘’I am ready for Anas. I am not afraid of him. GHc25 million is nothing. So Anas is demanding for GHc25 million? He is so cheap. The amount a peanut.’’ ‘’I will make myself dirty before paying the money.

I will disgrace some people before paying this money,’’ he said. Mr Agyapong said he was yet to be served with the writ but he was ready to face him in court "in style."

Anas is seeking reliefs including general damages for libel against Mr Agyapong, as well as aggravated damages arising from some libelous comments published by Mr Agyapong in the sum of GH?25million.
