Together with all Revolutionary and progressive organizations in Ghana, Nigeria and the whole of the Africa continent, we would like to strongly demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Cuba against the illegal economic blockade imposed against them by the United States of America.

We, by this statement, also reaffirm our unwavering support for the good people of Cuba and all oppressed forces around the world as they continue the struggle against foreign dominance from imperialist forces. We pay particular interest in the recent case of imperialist bullying of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela-with the primary intention of syphoning the huge mineral wealth found in their soil and territorial waters.

In order to make the collaboration between Africa and Cuba more expansive and beneficial ,we call on all citizens of Africa to strengthen its solidarity with Havana. The first step in this process must be the call for the removal of the inhumane economic stranglehold on Cuba imposed by the U.S. government. This will open up many more opportunities for trade and exchange that will greatly benefit the people of Africa and Cuba.

The Cuba Solidarity Movement here in Ghana in furtherance to its commitment to the just cause of Havana, will be participating actively in the upcoming 6th Africa Solidarity Meeting

This Conference of Solidarity with Cuba, continuity of its five previous editions, will confirm the international support for the validity of the model of social justice that Cuba symbolizes and its viability as an alternative for that "other better and possible world" for which the peoples of the world struggle.

This Abuja Meeting is very imperative in demonstrating to the world, and imperialism in particular, that we (the progressive Revolutionary Forces of Africa) stand for the protection of the fundamental rights of all peoples of the world, their right to Freedoms and self-determination. That individual sovereign countries reserve the right to trade and interact politically, economically and culturally, with people and nations of their choice.

Former Presidents of Ghana and other high profile personalities in Africa are expected to deliver solidarity messages to the conference.

Long Live Cuba!
Long Live Ghana!
Long Live Africa!
Long Live all progressive forces of the world.

Freedom and Power to the people!!!

Signed
Comrade Robert Dela Mawuenyegah
Secretary, Cuban Solidarity Movement, Ghana
