Ghana to launch a tourism promotion campaign in US

Accra, Oct. 15, GNA - The government's effort to encourage and recognize tourism as a priority area in the overall development programme of the economy has been given a boost in Washington DC. The Embassy of Ghana in Washington DC is to launch a tourism documentary on October 24, 2003 under the theme: "Ghana: Our Heritage," to highlight in detail the country's rich cultural heritage, historical monuments and eco-tourism.

A press statement issued in Washington DC and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Wednesday said the launch forms part of activities to promote Ghanaian tourism in the United State in particular and the international community in general.
