Ghana’s Treasure (Erawoc Brothers)

I was recently invited to one of Atlanta’s Celebrity parties only to be surprised by what I saw. The location was SMG studios, SMG for Sputnic Music Group – My surprise was the people I saw in the studio control room just chilling.

Sputnic, Majid Michel, Shawki, Reggie and Mr. Venus Films himself Producer Salaam. These guys were having fun and chopping it so I decided to sit in and ask a few questions for my readers.

Majid Michel is in the ATL and I didn’t even know about it? “I’m just here to spend quality time with my brother’s” Majid – yes Africa’s number 1 Actor has brother’s in Atlanta doing it big but on the DL (down low).

Sputnic is a Major Producer/Engineer who has worked with the likes of Akon, Teddy Riley, TI, Wyclef, Outcast, Jermaine Dupri, Dallas Austin and many more – so why don’t we hear of this Ghanaian brother? Sputnic simply puts it “ I’m the brain behind the scenes, I just make the Artist shine”. Sputnic has a Music Technology and Film Degree from New York University. This guy is in demand – his phone will not stop ringing – I found out later that his company SMG has designed and setup many of the studios in Atlanta – a 24/7 tech support company. Sputnic is humble and laid back as I observed all the brother’s I felt proud of being a Ghanaian and knowing we have such a treasure.

So my question was what’s in the works for you guys?
Sputnic – we working on multiple movie projects to take African movies to a new height – the Erawoc bros Studios will be stepping it up a whole notch. We in talks with Maverick for a major distribution; just be ready for Greatness.
Majid – we will be taking Ghanaian/African movies to places not yet seen.
Reggie is also very know in Atlanta as the baddest photographer/DP. He has worked and published with Vibe, Essence, Source, XXL and many more. Reg, why so humble?
Reggie – we are in an industry where people do a lot of faking it, you in the A, you should know this – we let our work speak for itself. We have just recently decided to let the world see some of our works and upcoming projects; you stay tuned we will make you and all our people proud.
Wow, look who walks in, Kwaw Kesse Mr. Abodam – what are you doing here?
Abodam – I have always wanted to work with Sputnic but that brother has a crazy schedule; I have been in Atlanta for a month just waiting to get in the studio with him but its all worth it – he played me some songs he made for me – my jaw dropped – we are about to hit you with some real heat from Sputnic Productions/SMG. I can’t wait for all to hear it – Abodam bringing HipLife to main street America.
Wow, it was a pleasure to be around these guys and see much joy from what they do and know that they are not in it for the money but for the craft. Ghana/Africa be proud.
These are some few pictures for your enjoyment.
1 LOVE 2 Africa
