Ghana is hard - Collins Dauda admits

The Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Alhaji Collins Dauda says even though the economic situation in the country is very harsh, Ghanaians must still give thanks to God that there is peace. According to him, Ghana is far better if compared with some European, Asian and African Countries. He argued that even though some countries had made it economically, they are unable to enjoy their wealth because of insecurity.

“There is fighting, bomb blasts, killings, floods and general insecurity in such countries. They don’t have peace of mind to live happily”, he noted, adding “though there may be hardship in Ghana, we must thank God for the peace and security we are enjoying as a nation. If there is peace, there is happiness.”

Alhaji Collins Dauda made the observation at Hwediem in the Brong-Ahafo region, whilst addressing the Easter convention of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) International on the theme: “Impacting our world” (Acts 13;47).

Hon Collins Dauda also re-echoed the call on the youth of Ghana, political callers and the general public to desist from insulting leaders of our land.

“People use the telephone to call television and radio stations to insults politicians, chiefs, pastors and very prominent people in the name of freedom of speech, but this is not part of our great cultural heritage as a people,” he lamented.

He advised the younger generation, especially girls, to stop the exposure of their boobs (breast) and under wear, in the name of fashion. “It is a very bad habit which must be stopped”, he pleaded.

He called on Ghanaians to support President John Mahama with prayers and encouragement in the period of good and hard times. The president is the chief driver of the Ghana bus, if we pray and support him, we will reach our destination safely but if we detract his attention, we shall all perish in the bus,” he noted.

Preaching the sermon on the theme, “Using the Christian values to impact the world”, the territorial apostle of the C.A.C, Apostle S.O Ansah noted that the old apostles and believers were first named Christians in the town of Antiok because of the positive impact of good moral lives in them.

The Area Apostle called on Christians, the general public across the world to show love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, since Christ Jesus, Who is the savior of the world, represents peace and love.

The Krontihene of the Hwidiem Traditional Area, Nana Yentumi Gyeabour on his part said for one to enter Heaven’s gate, he or she must accept Jesus Christ as lord, have faith, unity and love and above all must put up a life of good morals.
