President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt E.S Okraku has disclosed that government will in the coming days announce its support to clubs in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The football industry has been one of the most affected by the novel virus as all sporting activities have been suspended since March.

This is why government through the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has decided to help ease the burden on Ghanaian clubs.

In a press statement released on Thursday, the nation’s football governing body chief Kurt Okraku briefed clubs and all stakeholders on the latest development.

“In February 2020, the Association commenced engagement with the leadership at the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) aimed at supporting lube on various levels.

These engagements have been further enhanced by the Sports Ministry’s active support. The result is that, Government in the coming days will announce a support to the Association through YEA for our members”
