Former Ghana Football Association vice president, Kojo Bonsu believes the Black Stars could have won the 2014 FIFA with proper planning and conditioning.

Ghana after impressing in 2006 in Germany and 2010 in South Africa respectively were dreaming of making another history in world football during the 2014 Mundial in Rio.

However, the four-time African champions were crashed out from the competition from the group stage after failing to win a single match in Group G finishing at 4th position with just a point.

But according to the astute politician, the then Ghana FA failed to put the team in a proper conditioning before the start of the tournament.

“I think Ghana can win the World Cup easily and in Brazil, we could have won the cup easily,” he told Paul Adom Otchere on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana Program.

“Again, in South Africa 2010, we could have done the same.

“In 2014, we had a better team but we did not plan very well.

“We can win the World Cup with proper planning and conditioning but we failed to do that.

“We did not prepare properly for the tournament but I can assure Ghanaians that with proper preparation, we can win the World Cup.

Quizzed about the perfroamnce of the Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee, he said, “I have taken a back seat in football and I don’t want to comment about what they are doing now.”
