Ghana MMA Association Xmas party

Bronx, NY -- Ghana Mma Association based in New York with its motto; "Odo ne biako ye" ? Love and Unity, had its annual Christmas Dance at Bronx, New York. It occurred on Saturday, December 16th. The Keynote Speaker was supposed to be His Excellency; Obeng Gyan Busia, Consul General, Ghana Missions, NY but unfortunately the Consul General could not make it so the Honorable Secretary General of NCOGA; Mr. Mohammed Mardah had the honour of gracing the occasion. Among the special guests included; Novalis Gans-Lartey; Special Aide to the Mayor of Accra, Richard Fell, Vice President of Bank of America and Tom Prempeh, Editor of the Ghanaian Drum Newspaper.

In his address; Mr. Mardah took the opportunity to congratulate Ghana Mma on the occasion, outlined some of the events that NCOGA has in the works commemorating Ghana's 50th anniversary including; the anticipated; Ghana Day Parade in 2007. He also offered some important advice to the organization that the success of an organization is based on hard work and must unite during difficult times.

Mr. Gans-Lartey also touched on how plans are in the works to making sure every Ghanaians around the world hold the Ghana flag on March
6th, 2007and drew a large cheer. Mr. Justus Caesar (General
Secretary) was given an award for his excellent service.

The event was successful and was entertained by; Big Daddy Soundz.

GHANA MMA ASSOCIATION

3 years ago some few young Ghanaians in the New York Metropolitan area came together to form a benevolent, non profit organization called; Ghana Mma. It is an organization with no political, religious or ethnic affiliation and the aim is to bring all young Ghanaians living in the USA together, share ideas and also extend assistance to member in terms of need. They also promote economic well-being of all membrs and hold forums or discussions and on diverse, but relevant issues.

They hold their monthly meetings on the last Saturday of every month.
The found members are; Mr. & Mrs F. Tetteh, Mr. & Mrs M. Caesar, Mr. & Mrs. E. Tetteh, Mr. & Mrs D. Aboagye, Mr. & Mrs. K. Apeadu, Mr. & Mrs K. Sasu and Mr. P. Grant.
