The Good Governance Advocacy Group of Ghana (GGAGG) is petitioning President Akufo Addo to look into what it calls some 'integrity issues' that led to the abrogation of an agreement between the government of Sierra Leone (represented by their Ministry of Trade and Industry) and Africa Link Inspection Company (ALIC) a subsidiary of Ghana Link, the company that signed the UNIPASS CONTRACT.

In an open letter by the group to the president, they are questioning why government would want to do away with a much efficient system at the country's ports for one whose piloting and implementation has woefully been below par.

"What is so particularly peculiar about the new Contractor that Government is in the haste to abrogate existing contracts of GCNet (a company whose system has been built for the peculiarity of our port for almost two decades) and Westblue Consortium to consequentially commit Taxpayers’ money to pay judgement debt when the contracts of the two expire in 2023 and September 2020 respectively?," portions of the letter read.
