Ghana Institute of Journalism holds maiden

The Ghana Institute of Journalism on Friday 8 May, 2015 held the maiden edition of the "ALL ACCESS" sessions. The sessions which is an initiative of GIJ-SRC is aimed at giving the entire student body all access to media personalities who will discuss and answer questions ranging from sports, politics, entertainment, health, religion, money, fame, education and media rivalry.

In attendance before a live audience and media was Ace Sports Journalist, Yaw Ampofo-Ankrah, Paul Adom Otchere, Brand Ghana, George Addo, Joy fm and Nathaniel Attoh, head of sports, Multimedia.

Speaking to the media after the maiden session, President of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association, Mr Yaw Ampofo-Ankrah commended the organizers of the session and stated that the journalism profession needs seminars of this capacity to equip young and aspiring journalists.

"I was a student here many years ago and I am proud of the progress and transformation still being made including those by the students."

Some notable names set to grace future "All Access" sessions includes the first Queen of the airwaves, Doreen Andoh, Editor Joy News (Television) Emma Morrison and Tv3 Senior News anchor, Nana Aba Anamoah amongst others.

The second session of All Access is slated for 15th May, 2015 at the campus of the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
