The President of Germany, Franks Walter Steinmeier, is expected to arrive in Ghana today, Monday, 11 December 2017, for a three-day official working visit.
This will be Mr Steinmeier’s first visit to Africa since he took office in February 2017.
He will be accompanied to Ghana by the Federal Minister for Economy and Energy, Mrs. Brigitte Zypries; the Deputy Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Friedrich Kitschelt; the State Minister at the German Foreign Office, Maria Böhmer; as well as a substantial business delegation and guests from civil society.
Mr Steinmeier’s visit will focus on the youth in Ghana, scientific and academic cooperation, migration, vocational training and investment and business promotion.
The visit will also deepen bilateral relations between Ghana and Germany.
