The President of Germany, Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has paid a working visiting to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra.

President Steinmeier, who is on a three-day official visit to Ghana, was received at the Centre by Air Vice Marshal Griffiths S. Evans, Commandant, KAIPTC.

President Steinmeier noted that KAIPTC was a very important contribution to regional security and stability in West Africa.

He further added that Germany had supported the KAIPTC from the very beginning and would continue to do so.

He met briefly with the experts that have been part of KAIPTC’s success story.

His historic visit was commemorated with a tree planting in KAIPTC’s Peace Garden.
