George Kennedy begs Kotoko fans not to criticize Duncan

Asante Kotoko’s Director of Operations, George Kennedy is pleading with Fabulous fans not to use the failure of the club to qualify for the second round of the CAF Champions League to judge the performance of Head Coach David Duncan, since the 51-year-old trainer just took over the post.

Though most Kotoko supporters have blamed the quality of players for the team’s inability to progress past El Eulma in the Africa Inter-club competition in Kumasi last Sunday, other fans have also questioned the competence of the ex-Hearts and Ashgold Coach out of frustration.

“I think its too early to judge the performance of the new coach. Comparing to the previous matches, I think the team is picking up. Let’s give him some time,” Mr. Kennedy said.

The angry Kotoko fans had planned to launch an attack on the team bus for their poor performance exhibited during the 2-1 home loss to the Algerian outfit leading to the decision to whisk the players away from the Baba Yara Stadium in a Police armored car.
