General Mosquito’s cross examination is of no use – Kofi Jumah

Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah, has advised habitual viewers of the on-going 2012 election petition to take a break and attend to their important duties since the chief witness for the third respondent; John Asiedu Nketia’s cross examination is of no use.

“If you have something better doing, or have clothes to wash, this is the time for you to do that; his (Asiedu Nketia) cross examination is of no use,” he said.

According to him, the second and third respondents’ chief witness in the election petition case cross-examination is not really necessary.

“General Mosquito did not organize the election, in this court case; frankly speaking Asiedu Nketia is not needed there. Even the president is also not needed there. The EC produced the pink sheets and his workers refused to sign pink sheets. So if, there is any explanation, it should be the EC and not General Mosquito. He (Asiedu Nketia) is just in the witness box to lie, and that is what he is good at,” he said.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia on Thursday mounted the witness box to testify in the presidential election petition challenging the declaration of President John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the 2012 election.

With a grinning smile, the General Secretary took his oath using the Bible to testify on behalf the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and President John Dramani Mahama.

Speaking on Adom FM, candid Kofi Jumah opined, “Asiedu Nketia is not a lawyer but he will rather be giving interpretations of the law. He will start quoting unnecessarily. He has nothing to say rather than to hoodwink”.
