Pongo appealed for equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, especially running water. He appealed to the traditional authorities to ensure that a committee was inaugurated for the management of the facility.
Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, Hohoe Constituency Member of Parliament (MP), said the government deemed it prudent to complete ongoing projects from the past government before initiating new ones.
He said there were lot of challenges of the traditional area especially issues regarding the welfare of women which would receive necessary attention in coming years.
Tsekpo said the area was a priority area due to the tourism potential it possessed, hence the need to gradually add up to facilities as well as renovate existing ones.
Prosper Kumi, Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), said there was the need to upgrade the health facility of the area to a health centre status due to the tourism potential it had.
He called on the Municipal Health Directorate to provide a list of needed equipment that would ensure the easy upgrade of the facility. Togbega Homatekpor V, Paramount Chief of Gbledi Traditional Area, expressed gratitude to the Assembly and the MP for the gesture.
He said the area was expecting stalled projects including a science laboratory at the Afadzato Senior High Technical School.
