‘Gay doctor’ Ali Gabass remanded again

The doctor who allegedly sodomised a 16-year-old boy, Dr. Sulley Ali Gabass, has been remanded in prison until November 25.

A gender-based Violence Circuit Court in Accra, presided over by Justice Rita Agyemang Budu, ordered his remand to give the investigators more time to probe the case which dominated national discourse a few weeks ago.

The beleaguered doctor, who is alleged to have had unnatural sex with the teenager on several occasions, is standing trial for sodomy.

According to Starr News’ Wilberforce Asare, disgruntled family members attacked journalists at the court premises for photographing the medical practitioner.

Dr Ali Gabass, who is a senior staff of the Effia Nkwanta Hospital in Takoradi in the Western region, is on suspension until the case is over.
