Gambila to contest Nabdam Constituency seat

Pelungu (U/E) July 23 GNA - Mr. Boniface Gambila, Director of National Service Scheme on Monday filed for nomination to contest the Parliamentary seat in the Nabdam Constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

At a brief ceremony to submit his application forms to the constituency executive, Mr. Gambila told party functionaries that when given the mandate to maintain his candidature as happened in the 200 election, the party could make impact in the area.

He said as a native, he has always had the welfare of constituency at heart and had brought development into the place without considering the capacity in which he served the people, adding, "I am convinced that when given the opportunity to contest the seat it would put me on a more advantage position to bring the desired development here".

He said his priority lies in the provision of infrastructure and the human resource development of the area as well as the provision of social amenities such as education, health and potable water, among others, when given the mandate to be the candidate to contest the seat. The Director said although the constituents had faith in the NDC and had always supported it to win the seat, they have not benefited from its promises, describing such promises as vague.

He added that the activities and programmes of the NPP was bare for all the people to see and judge for themselves.
