Following the burial of the eight gallant men who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2025, many Ghanaians have shared their thoughts on their expectations of the government moving forward.

In a post by GhanaWeb, Ghana’s leading online platform on August 17, netizens have shared their views on topical issues they believe should be given prominence by the government.

A significant number of them called for a stronger crackdown on illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey.

Others urged the government to provide meaningful support to the families of the fallen servicemen and government officials who perished in the crash.

Some netizens also raised concerns about the rising cost of rent in Ghana, with many calling for urgent intervention from the relevant stakeholders.

Additionally, some citizens demanded immediate action on the stalled construction of the Accra-Kumasi highway, which they believe has become a death trap for road users.

The state held a final interfaith funeral service for the fallen heroes who perished in the August 6 helicopter crash on August 15, 2025.
