As part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the Zango communities within the Amasaman Municipality, the Ga West and North Council of Zongo Chiefs led by the Chairman of the council Chief Hamidu Bukari Kabore have donate items to Amasaman Mantse towards this year Amasaman Homowo festival which is scheduled for Saturday August 25th this year at Amasaman a suburb of Accra.
The items include six bags of rice, a bag of maize, 20 cotton of mineral water and undisclosed amount of money.
The public Relations Officer for the Ga West and North Council of Zango Chiefs who doubles as the Manhea Zango Chief Sarki Abdul Kadiri Ahmed Abdul Kardiri revealed that the aim was to appreciate the peaceful coexistence between the council and the good people of Amasaman especially Nii Amasa Oseiku II Amasaman Mantse.
He said the council will continue to support and demonstrate their commitment to promote the Amasaman Homowo festival.
This he said will help in their efforts in strengthen the relationship between the council and the Chief.
Sarki Abdul Kadiri expressed his dissatisfaction towards the abuse of tramadol and other related drugs by the youth and therefore called on the youth to stay away from it since it will not make any good use to their health rather destroy their kidney and liver which will lead to an early death.
He called on the youth focus on their education or venture into skill training and other businesses to help improve their living standard and develop the Ga West and North Municipality rather than seating at one place which may lead to abuse of drugs and crime.
This according him, the council will collaborate with Nii Amasa Oseiku II Amasaman Mantse to help in the fight against the abuse of TRAMADOL in the Amasaman municipality adding that the abuse of TRAMADOL is gaining grounds in most communities hence the need for a joint collaboration to tackling it with strong approach,
On his part, the Amasaman Mantse, Nii Amasa Oseiku II expressed his gratitude to the members of the Ga West and North Council of Zango Chiefs for the kind gesture.
He urged the youth in the community to maintain discipline and engage in activities that will not mar the peace and beauty of the celebration.
On Tramadol abuse, Nii Oseiku II stated that the abuse of tramadol is increasing by the day hence the need for all hands on deck to fight it with strong approach.
According to him he will personally lead the campaign against tramadol and urged the police not to spare anyone found with tramadol.
