Ga West Assembly constructs 400 million cedi irrigation dam

Amamole (GA), Jan. 10, GNA - The Ga West District Assembly is undertaking an irrigation dam project for the people of two communities at the cost of 400 million cedis.

The communities are Amamole and Odumase in the Greater Accra Region.

Nii Tettey Okpe II, Chief of Amamole made this known when he and his sub-chiefs took the Ghana News Agency round to inspect the project site at Amamole on Sunday.

He said the dam, which would be commissioned before the end of the year, would assist the farmers in the area to grow more vegetables and other cash crops.

Nii Okpe commended the Ga West District Assembly for initiating the project.
