Businessman and President of Groupe Nduom, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has said the group remains committed to resuming operations of GN Savings and Loans following the Court of Appeal ruling that restored the company’s operating licence.

According to him, the company has not officially been served with any notice indicating that the Bank of Ghana has appealed the judgment at the Supreme Court, despite reports circulating in the media.

His comments come after reports emerged that the Bank of Ghana had moved to challenge the Court of Appeal’s decision restoring the licence of GN Savings and Loans, one of the financial institutions affected during the 2019 banking sector clean-up.

Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, May 29, 2026, Dr Nduom said the central bank had also not been served with the consequential orders from the Court of Appeal.

“The Bank of Ghana itself has not even been served with what the lawyers call the consequential orders,” he said.

He added that neither he nor the company had received any official documents indicating that an appeal had been filed against the ruling.

“I have not been served with anything that says somebody is appealing the matter. It may be true, it may not be true, but I cannot rely on word of mouth or what is on social media, radio or television,” he stated.

Dr Nduom further stressed that Groupe Nduom and its legal team are prepared to respond swiftly to any legal action should formal processes begin.

“When we get anything at all from anybody, we are ready with our attorneys to deal with anything with dispatch,” he noted.

He also said the company would proceed based on the current Court of Appeal ruling unless a superior court issues a different order.

“Even if something is served on us, until someone gives us an order different and superior to what the Court of Appeal has given, we are ready to deal with it,” he added.
