GJA elections: Disqualified candidates okayed to contest

The Elections Dispute Adjudication Committee (EDAC) of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has after hearing the petition regarding the 2017 GJA elections given candidates who were disqualified another opportunity to contest the elections.

In a press statement signed by Mr. Yaw Boadu Ayeboafoh, the Chairman of the adjudication committee, candidates who were disqualified from entering the elections on basis other than not being a member, or whose membership was below three years were to be given the opportunity to contest.

According to the press release, the EC is advised with immediate effect to lift the indefinite postponement of the elections for the process to take its course.
