Armed robbers on Friday, 3 November attacked the toll booth at the Tema – Accra stretch of the motorway and made away with GHS45,000 being tolls collected for three days.

Accra100.5 FM’s Tema regional correspondent, Danso Abbeam, reported on Ghana Yensom on Monday, 6 November that: “The Police officers guarding the toll booth were not present when the robbery attack occurred. We were told the officers had gone to search for food.”

“Also some few hawkers who saw the crime scene were threatened by the robbers with guns, and, so, they could not shout for help.

The matter has been reported to the Ashaiman Divisional Police Command and investigations have been started.
