The Ghana National Supporters Union (GHANSU) has intensified efforts to rally nationwide support for the Ghana Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
At a launch event in Accra, the supporters’ union introduced a new campaign dubbed #GhanaIsInTheHouse, designed to rally Ghanaian fans both at home and across the diaspora to strongly back the national team during the global tournament.
As part of the initiative, GHANSU announced plans to send more than 400 dedicated supporters to the 2026 FIFA World Cup host countries—the United States, Canada, and Mexico to deliver strong vocal and visual backing for the Black Stars throughout the tournament.
The union also disclosed that an official sponsors’ announcement and the unveiling of international partners will take place on the 17th, as preparations intensify for the tournament, which is scheduled to begin in less than 90 days.
President of GHANSU, Abraham Boakye, reaffirmed the group’s determination to stand behind the Black Stars on the global stage.
“GHANSU is going to the World Cup, whether rain or shine. We have less than 90 days to kick off, so it’s not a mistake to declare our intention today. We are here today, and GHANSU is ready for the World Cup,” he stated.
The Convening Founder and Head of Mission of the African Union African Diaspora Forum, Ambassador Dr. Erieka Bennett, who officially launched the campaign, highlighted the vital role supporters play in motivating the team during major tournaments.
“Today, I want you to really understand how important you are. The Black Stars are number one, but you are number two, and they need you,” she said.

Dr Bennett also encouraged members of the supporters’ union to proudly represent Ghana on the global stage.
“You are very important to this country, and you’re going to be ambassadors for Ghana. You will show the Ghana spirit, the Ghana professionalism, and the Ghana passion.”
The #GhanaIsInTheHouse campaign is expected to ignite excitement and patriotic support across the country as Ghana prepares for another appearance at the FIFA World Cup, with fans poised to play a key role in inspiring the Black Stars throughout the tournament.
