The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed as false a recruitment letter circulating on social media, urging the public to ignore it.

According to the management, the letter, which claims that financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff, did not originate from the Service.

In a statement issued on September 21, 2025, and sighted by GhanaWeb, Head of Public Relations Daniel Fenny stated that the letter is fake, as neither the GES nor its parent body has announced any recruitment.

“Management wishes to state that the letter is fake and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet,” the statement read.

GES clarified that any official recruitment will be communicated exclusively through the Service’s official platforms and those of the Ministry of Education.

“The public is advised to disregard the fake letter and report any fraudulent activities linked to it,” the statement added.
