A 29-year-old frustrated unemployed man, Kelvin Quist Agbenyega has hacked his father to death at Koforidua Okorase in the Eastern Region on Monday.

The suspect took a cutlass used by his deceased father to unplug coconut fruits on the compound of the house in the morning of that fateful day to commit the heinous crime when he rushed and attacked the father in one of the uncompleted rooms in the house.

The body of the deceased, Emmanuel Degraft Quist Agbenyega, a retired accountant has been deposited at the morgue of the Regional Hospital-Koforidua.

Meanwhile, the suspect-a Senior High school drop out has been arrested by the Okorase District Police Command.

Kirk Quist Junior, one of the siblings tells Ghone News, the family is not surprised about the incident because the signs were clear on the wall but their deceased father didn’t want the suspect arrested whenever he threatened to kill him.

He, however, discounted assertion that their suspect brother had mental illness or on drugs.
