Four companies donate towards National Farmers' Day

Four institutions on Thursday presented items to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture towards the celebration of the 29th National Farmers’ Day celebration slated for December 6 at Sogakope in the Volta Region.

The institutions were the Mohinani Group which presented poly products worth GHC3,000.00 and Ghacem Cement Limited which also 1,000 bags of cements worth GHC20,000.00.

The rest were Continental Christian Traders which presented PPP woven sacks worth GHC7,500.00 and Rite FM at Somanya whicho donated airtime worth GHC20,000.00 to enable the Ministry to educate the public on the impending National Farmers’ Day.

Receiving the donations, Dr Ahmed Yakubu Alhasan, a Deputy Minister of Agriculture, expressed appreciation to the companies and appealed to other institutions to donate towards the celebration.
