Former Kotoko Chairman Alhaji Njie reported dead

Death is reported of former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Board member, Alhaji Salifu Abubakar ‘aka Alhaji Njie’.

The business mogul is reported to have passed on at the Komfo Ankokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi on Wednesday.

Alhajie Njie was appointed by the Asantehene to chair the Kumasi Asante Kotoko Interim Management Team (IMT) in 2005, with other members like Yamoah Ponkoh and Mr Yaw Gyasi.

He was also a member of the Kotoko Board under the chairmanship of the late PV Obeng.
The late Alhaji Njie will be buried in Kumasi on Thursday per Islamic customs.
