Former CPP MP Kojo Armah laid to rest

The mortal remains of Former Convention People’s Party (CPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Evalue-Gwira Kojo Armah were on last Saturday laid to rest after a short burial service held at the St Anthony Catholic Church, Axim in the Nzema East Municipality of the Western Region. The solemn ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including politicians, chiefs, friends and well-wishers as well as supporters.

Several tributes read by family, friends and colleagues, described the late Kojo Armah as a friend, brother and an incomparable personality whose life changed the lives of many.

They underscored by saying 'You are a mentor who shared your talent with many; you were the appetite of up and coming young and old within and outside Nzemaland.

The wife Nana Soma described her husband as a charitable to a fault, loving as a friend, father, God fearing and selfless to mankind.

Some dignitaries who paid their last respect include, Hon. Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah, Member of Parliament for Ellembelle and Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Minority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, Freddy Blay, first National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party Dr. Abu Sakara, Chairman of the CPP, Samia Yaba Nkrumah, Member of Parliament for Evalue-Ajomoro-Gwira Constituency, Hon. Kweku Tanikyi Kesse etc

The late Kojo Armah died on Sunday, May 4, at the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital at the age of 68 years, and left behind a wife and three children.
