Former AshGold skipper donates to the Miners

Former Ashanti Gold skipper Lawrence Lartey has donated to the club in a move geared towards boosting them ahead of their CAF Champions League encounter against M.O Bejaia.

Lartey who now plays for Ajax Cape Town in South Africa donated 30 Winter Jackets,30 Back Packs and 5 Big Equipment bags to the club.

The young defender has wasted little time in hitting the ground running in South Africa but is not forgetting his club at home.

AshGold endured a frustrating preseason campaign but have looked solid in their first two games of the season with a 1-0 win over M.O Bejaia in the CAF Champions League and a 2-1 win over Medeama in the first league game of the season.

Lartey's donation is timely as the team will travel to Algeria this week in search of continental glory.
