Foreign Affairs Minister in Maputo for AU meeting

Accra, July 5, GNA - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nana Akuffo Addo, is in Maputo Mozambique to attend the Ministerial meeting of the African Union (AU).

The Director of the African Union Bureaux of the Ministry of Affairs, Mr Samuel Kofi Dadey, accompanied the Minister who left Accra on Friday for the four day Ministerial meeting, which opens on Sunday. It precedes the summit of African Heads of States on Wednesday. The meeting would draw the agenda for the summit, which would consider the election of a substantive chairman of the AU and the establishment of the African Security Council among issues. The economic, political and security situations on the African continent would also feature.
